The hardest part of losing weight is to stay motivated. Weight loss isn’t something that happens overnight, you need to stick with it if you want to see results. Here are some tips for staying motivated.
1. Figure out why do you want to lose weight. Is it because you want to be a healthier person? You don’t like the way you look? Is there an important event coming up and you want to look slimmer? You need to decide why losing weight is important to you and how badly do you want it.
2. Work out some long, medium and short term goals. Your long term goal should be the final amount of weight you want to lose. Setting smaller targets is a great way of increasing your motivation, don’t worry about the 50+,100+ or 200+ pounds you still have left, take it one day at a time and do something today that will make you one step closer to your goal.
3. Find a weight loss partner. If you know someone who wants to lose weight then you can exercise together, and support each other.
4. Keep a journal of your weight loss journey, the good thing about a journal is that if you had a bad day you can look back and see how much progress you’ve made.
5. Find a workout that you enjoy, no one wants to spend an hour everyday doing something that they absolutely hate, right? So find an exercise that you like doing, motivation will make you start and habit will make you stick to it.
